There’s a new player in the college ranking game. Forbes.com has created a list of the best U.S colleges based on their criteria. The top five? Princeton, Cal Tech, Harvard, Swarthmore and Williams - all private college with tuition topping $45,000 a year. The list however ranks 569 four-year colleges and universities. The scores are based on a combination of factors including evaluations from the Web site RateMyProfessors.com., the number of the college’s alumni listed among Who's Who in America, the average amount of student debt at graduation, the percentage of students graduating in four years, and the number of students or faculty, who have won nationally competitive awards such as Rhodes Scholarships or Nobel Prizes.
